Belgium: Government won't be able to keep up with costs of guarding Jewish community

Brabosh, a Belgian Pro-Israel site, reports that Belgian police and army are feeling the strain of the heightened terror alert level.  The police unions say they need more funding for more people.

In Antwerp, there's an ongoing debate about guarding Jewish installations.

Mayor Bart De Wever says that there are 98 'targets' spread out all over town and that it's impossible to guard.  Belgian soldiers are currently guarding the Jewish neighborhood, to calm down the fears of the Jewish residents, but the costs are immense and impossible to upkeep as a long-term solution. Two weeks cost Belgium over 600,000 euro.
